Wildlife ponds big & small.

AFFORDABLE, FAST TURNAROUND PROJECTS • LOW TO NO MAINTENANCE WILDLIFE HAVENS

From tiny gardens to farmland, we design & create wildlife ponds of all sizes. No pond is too small to make a difference.

We can enhance established pond habitats or create much needed new ones.

We specialise in:

Sympathetic designs that support wildlife.

Carefully selected native species from our aquatic plant nursery.

Wildflower meadow edges for pollinators.

Even a tiny garden pond creates a lifeline for wildlife - restoring a piece of critically endangered habitat.

FAST ACTING:

Freshwater ecosystems are especially dynamic & quick to regenerate. Habitats we jumpstart in a day, thrive within the year - going from strength to strength for decades to come.

HIGH IMPACT:

Freshwater is such a scarce & vital habitat, whenever it's restored to the landscape the impacts are incredible, creating far-reaching positive feedback loops of ecological repair.

Wildlife ponds:

From species recovery to carbon sequestration, ponds are the gift that keeps on giving.

Healthy ponds are wildlife magnets, offering something that has become increasingly rare: access to unpolluted freshwater.

FARMLAND PONDS

"Ponds were an essential part of rural life. In some parts of the UK it wasnt uncommon to have four or five ponds in one field."

Tens of thousands of farmland ponds have disappeared from the UK's landscape, an estimated loss of 50% in the last 50 years.
Though the agricultural practices that maintained farm ponds for watering livestock crops are essentially a thing of the past, wildlife dependence on ponds for survival has remained.
The disappearance of clean fresh water & wetland habitat from our landscapes has contributed to wide-scale species loss & decline for wildlife populations across the UK.
As habitat fragmentation continues to increase, restoring & creating networks of healthy ponds is at the forefront of local action to protect UK wildlife.

"Wetland habitats have an amazing ability to temper the impacts of extreme environmental pressures, from climate change to freshwater pollution, by sequestrating carbon, storing and filtering water, cooling their surroundings and providing a safe sanctuary for wildlife."
